RIP Jim Marshall – Rock Photography Icon.
Jim Marshall is a rock and roll photography icon, best known for the image above. He was one of a very few photographers invited into the inner circles of musicians in the 60’s and 70’s including the likes of Hendrix, Joplin, The Stones, The Dead, and more.
NPR has a nice remembrance here. He died Wed at the age of 74.
