Magic Castles Here’s one of them old-timer ones, the ones we tend to play when nearing the disastrous end of drunkenness, secretly or not so secretly loving best. Great band, Magic Castles, seriously. Top tunes, great, rugged playing, lots of soul – maybe get some keys in there to soften the edges though, a co-write or two with that dude who did that track for Meredith Brooks, stick some brash, quick-quipping, pretty yet retaining that small-town familiarity girl singer, who sings songs with titles that refer ambiguously to sucking dick, to the backdrop of a loosely-denied back-story of getting pregnant at the age of 12 in Swiss boarding school.
