Here’s a pair of new tracks from L.A.’s Superhumanoids that they debuted on their blog not too long ago. “Persona” — the “single” — and “Cranial Contest” both seem to echo the sounds of the relevant indie rock bands of the last half decade (Wolf Parade, CYHSY, New Pornos). The male + female vocal harmonies combine with optimistic krautrockish melodies… these two tracks are modestly uplifting, accessible, and absolutely familiar — but there’s hardly a thing wrong with that when the songs are as good as they are:

No word on an album release yet, but I’ll be sure to throw up some deets as soon as I know more.
